Microsoft has formed an alliance with a group of activists Rock vote to raise interest in the upcoming elections among young people.

As part of the link Xbox Live users can also participate in surveys to assess their voting intentions.

Forum on Xbox Live will also be used for the views of players, along with candidates.

“For our goal of registering two million young Americans in autumn this year, we have to go where they are young Americans,” said Heather Smith, executive director of Rock voters in the statement. “There is no doubt in our mind that many of them are Xbox 360 and Xbox Live.”

Microsoft argues that Rock Vote campaign for the use of Xbox Live will begin on August 25.

In the past, Rock Vote MySpace also promote bands to promote his music through social networking site for fans to register to vote.

Working with Rock the vote, Microsoft also plans presence in the Democratic and Republican party conventions to educate politicians about their members and positions.
