Tony Gwynn Has Cancer
Tony Gwynn announced these days that he has cancer with the salivary gland and blamed years of use of dipping tobacco goods for the disease, for which he will undergo chemotherapy and radiation therapies.
Gwynn mentioned the doctors identified the growth when they eliminated three lymph nodes and found a tiny amount of cancer within the parotid.
Gwynn, who’s currently the head baseball coach at San Diego State, retired right after the 2002 season with 3,141 hits, 18th-most in key league history.
He was elected towards the Hall of Fame in 2007 and was a 15-time NL All-Star.
