Tom Watson Wife – Hilary Watson
Hilary Watson, wife of Tom Watson, must be busting with pride today, as her husband takes the lead heading into the final round Sunday of the British Open at Turnberry.
Hilary Watson is in Scotland, of course, (you can see a picture of her here), and looking on as her golfing husband legend once again tops the leaderboard with a one stroke lead over Mathew Goggin and Ross Fisher after the third round of the 2009 British Open at Turnberry. He said:
“I ended on a real good note again. When you have that feel around the greens, that keeps you going.”
Hilary spoke to a reporter regarding the week that Tom has had at Turnberry:
“It’s just almost surreal, it’s so exciting. We just can’t believe it. He was really relaxed this morning; it didn’t seem to bother him that he was leading. I think even he felt it was a surreal experience.”
Hilary Watson Biography
As a biography, there is little information available about Hilary Watson, her age is unknown. We do know that she was formerly married to Denis Watson, PGA tour player, and together they had three children – Kyle, Paige and Ross. Hilary and Denis divorced and later, she wed Tom Watson in September of 1999. Tom’s ex-wife Linda had filed for divorce back in December 2007.

The CHAMPIONSHIP OF GOLF was set at 72 HOLES. When those 72 holes were completed, 2 players had the same score. By my way of thinking they are co-champions of the event. Playoffs are just held to separate those who were equally good by measure of the score. Therefore let Mr. Cink have the trophy and the extra pounds that come with it, Tom Watson is Co-Champion by equal score and you just can’t take his magnificient achievement away. For he’s a jolly good fellow, who nobody can deny!!!
