Sony recalls 440,000 laptop Vaio
440000 referring to the Sony Vaio notebook computers worldwide due to electrical wiring that failure could lead to overheating.
The withdrawal is a series of 19 models of Vaio TZ production in the period between May 2007 and July of 2008 – but not the models sold in the United Kingdom.
Sony said the wires are in the wrong position near the pivot, while the defect to the board that controls the screen can also lead to overheating.

According to the company 373000 Vaio laptops were sold worldwide in 48 countries with about 67000 sold in Japan.
