Melanie Oudin’s boyfriend is Austin Smith who from her shoes to her interviews was part of Oudin’s media focus this weekend.

Melanie Oudin’s Austin Smith is 15, she’s 17. Melanie as reportedly earlier this weekend credits the “BELIEVE” plate on the back of her stunning pink and yellow tennis shoes as created by Austin Smith. It replaces a plate with her name origianlly set to be stitched into the custom shoe by Adidas.

But at 5′6” and ranked 178 in the U.S. last year, BELIEVE is what tennis star and U.S. Open wonder Oudin and Smith’s weekend was all about. She tells press:

“I played with no fear today. For me, it’s all about that. It’s believing that I can beat these girls and hang there with them. If I didn’t have that, then there’s no way I’d … win today. “That’s how I won. I believe that I can do it.”
