“I think the chances are slim and none of them going undefeated,” Corso said prior to serving as the guest speaker at the 27th annual Northern Kentucky Athletic Directors Association Hall of Fame induction banquet.

“It’s just so hard today to go undefeated, and they still have to play at South Florida and at Pittsburgh,” Corso said. “Maybe the only team that will do it is Boise and they don’t play anybody.”

Corso, who suffered a stroke four months ago and was speaking at the banquet at the behest of a college friend and fraternity brother who graduated from Bellevue High School, was complimentary of UC quarterback Tony Pike and head coach Brian Kelly.

“Pike’s a really impressive kid throwing the football and there’s no question coach Kelly is a terrific coach,” said Corso, who took part in a pep rally earlier on Monday at Bellevue High School and went so far as to put the team’s Tiger mascot head over his like he does on the GameDay show when picking a particular team to win a game.

The speaking engagement is the only Corso will do until next April or May because of the stroke, although he will remain on GameDay.
