Indianapolis 500 Ticket Prices
Larger ticket prices and lingering considerations concerning the economic climate couldn’t retain Indianapolis 500 fans far from this year’s race.
General admission selling prices rose this year from $20 to $30, but Indianapolis Motor Speedway spokesman Tom Surber says advance ticket sales heading into Sunday’s race have been up about 10 percent from 2010.
Track officials do not disclose attendance figures, however the stands had fewer empty seats than in recent times. The 500 draws an estimated 250,000 to 275,000 fans annually.
