Suggestions from the Falmouth Road Race Co-Director
Rich Sherman, Co-Director of the Falmouth Road Race organization, tells people to plan on walking on race day.  There is some parking allowed at the Falmouth Mall as long as people park furthest away from the shops. From there it is about a mile walk to the finish line. He suggests that people plan to arrive early and stop for breakfast in town.

Expect traffic to heavy from noon onward as regular weekend traffic picks up around this time and the Falmouth Road Race will add to the burden on the roads. Sunday traffic leaving Cape Cod is always heavy between 2 and 9 pm so race attendees may want to plan to stay on the Cape until late evening.
There may still be accommodation available in Falmouth. Many fans plan their trip to the Falmouth Road Race a year in advance and when their plans change vacancies occur. Check with the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce (508-548-8500 or info@falmouthchamber.com) for the latest information.

Access to the Steamship Authority parking lots will be affected by these closures, making travel to Martha’s Vineyard on Sunday morning difficult.
