Christy Martin – Top female boxer shot, stabbed
Christy Martin, a legendary female boxer who amassed a career record of 49-5-3 (31 KOs), has been hospitalized following becoming shot and stabbed yesterday in her Orange County, Fla. house, based on a TMZ report.
The 42-year-old former boxing champion and cover of a 1996 “Sports Illustrated” reportedly was in a position to escape from her house following the attack and wave down a passing motorist. Following she was rushed to the hospital, she managed to tell police that the attacker was her husband, James Martin, based on the TMZ report.
The report goes on to state that James Martin continues to be at big and they are presently “on the hunt” for the suspected attacker.
