Raiders sign WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh

Not solely will the move reunite Palmer and Houshmandzadeh, who played along for 5 seasons with the Bengals, however it reunites the veteran wide receiver with Hue Jackson, his former position coach from Cincinnati who has ascended to the highest coaching spot in Oakland.

Houshmandzadeh had been a free agent when the Raiders signed him to a deal that ESPN’s John Clayton reports as being price $910,000 over the rest of the season. He played for the Baltimore Ravens throughout the 2010 season and had thirty receptions and 3 touchdowns.

Troy PolamaluPittsburgh Steelers Powerful Safety Troy Polamalu scares most offensive players inside the NFL, but now he’s taken his game off the field. Throughout a taping of a Head & Shoulders commercial at Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, the million-dollar “mane” gave visitors a hair-raising surprise.

Now you don’t have to thanks to a prank by Polamalu and Madame Tussauds Wax Museum in Hollywood. Polamalu set up in various still poses at the museum, only to “come alive” as visitors approached.

NFL Preseason Schedule 2011Week 1 of the NFL Preseason Schedule 2011 kicks off on Thursday night with five games. An actual football game will be played tonight. The 2011 NFL preseason schedule kicks off on Thursday night with give games and, while it’s just preseason, it’s awfully nice to be watching football in August considering our NFL lockout-filled offseason.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Awesome matchup to kick things off. The Ravens are always good but lost quite a few players this year and the Eagles formed “The Dream Team” this offseason with guys like CB Nnamdi Asomugha.
