Bernard Hopkins : Oldest Boxing Champion Ever
Bernard Hopkins : The oldest man in boxing history to win a major world championship

Bernard Hopkins, at 46 years old, grew to become the oldest man to at any time win a championship in boxing historical past, outpointing Jean Pascal and taking the younger man to college during the battle. Hopkins won on scores of 115-114, 115-113 and 116-112. Bernard Hopkins won the Poor Left Hook card, 117-112.
Hopkins began to fire his straight right hand and land it with regularity as Pascal appeared to fade. The straight right hand could be Bernard’s go-to punch because the fight wore on and Pascal was in no way able to make the adjustment to stop that shot. Jean’s endurance appeared to become a problem as the battle wore on and he missed more and more with his wild power punches while Bernard’s straightforward assault and skillful (and old-timey) rough house techniques annoyed the more youthful champion.
Hopkins (52-5-2, 32 KO) may be the genuine light heavyweight champion for the 2nd time, following his years of domination inside the middleweight division. Pascal, as Hopkins said, fought fairly well for about four rounds, but soon after that it had been all Bernard Hopkins. The Philadelphia legend just dominated the remainder from the battle, sans a 12th round when Pascal did harm Hopkins.
Pascal (26-2-1, 16 KO) just just isn’t good sufficient for Bernard Hopkins, and about their two fights, I think that played out. The initial battle was near, but I felt Hopkins won. The second fight was actually not shut, and fortunately this time, Hopkins acquired the cards he extremely richly deserved.
Manny Pacquiao vs. Shane Mosley Live at MGM Grand
Pacquiao will defend his WBO welterweight title from Mosley on May 7, 2011 in Las Vegas.
The weigh-ins (and tomorrow night’s fight) are occurring with the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Pacquiao and Mosley will fight on the welterweight (147 lb.) limit, with Pacquiao’s WBO welterweight title up for grabs.
Pacquiao is 52-3-2 along with the existing WBC Super Welterweight World Champion along with the WBO Welterweight World Champion. He’s the first boxer to win the lineal title in four separate weight classes. Mosley is 46-6-1 with one no contest. He drew with Sergio Mora in his last fight in September. He dropped an uncompetitive choice to Floyd Mayweather Jr. in May of 2010, together with his very last victory coming more than Antonio Margarito by TKO in January of 2009.
