Adobe PDF is an ISO Standard
Adobe Systems popular Portable Document Format, PDF, or, as it has become better known in recent International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standard, as this morning.
Adobe is a key developer and patent holder of technology, and today has changed the specification for version 1.7 in the Geneva-based ISO. This is only a year and half of Adobe plans to open specifications Association for Information Management and Image (AIIM), was to lay the foundation for the certification of ISO.
ISO issued a press release on the new standard (the so-called “ISO 32000-1:2008″), together with a quote from the Adobe chief technology officer Kevin Lynch moving to PDF universe: “As governments and organizations increasingly free format Maintenance PDF specification for external and participatory organization will further promote innovation and expansion PDF-rich ecosystems over the past 15 years, “said Lynch.
